Whitehills Sailing Regatta and Barbecue

Whitehills Sailing Regatta and Barbecue held on 13th August was again a resounding success, with 16 boats entered.

Whitehills Harbour Commissioners again wanted to keep the ‘fun’ element to the day, and decided that any one boat could only win one prize, so if a boat was placed in both races it could only collect the prize for the highest position. This worked well as it meant most boats participating went away with something.

A barbecue and entertainment was again provided where prizes were presented to the following boats.

1st Race, class 1

Predator, Voucher donated by Buccaneer

1st Race, class 2

Calloo, Received Progress Cup
Sea Swallow, Voucher donated by Bodies
Aquamarine, Bottle of Courvoisier

2nd Race, class 1

Volente, Received James & Margaret Forbes Memorial Trophy
Sunrise, Set of Charts
Touch Down, Voucher donated by Cutty

2nd Race, class 2

Sealgair, Jesson Cup
